OUT OF THE WAY... GEMMA IS BACK

Esta semana se anunció el regreso de una de mis modelos favoritas… Gemma Ward. Ya se confirmó el contrato con la agencia IMG de Australia y sus fotos aparecerán muy pronto en la página de IMG!!!!

¿Quién es Gemma Ward? Una modelo australiana.

Después de la era de las supermodelos de los 90, no había estrellas del modelaje, pero Gemma abrió paso a una nueva época, con ella comenzó un boom de famosas top models de alta costura.

Comenzó su carrera en 2002. Con sólo 16 años se convirtió en una de las modelos más jovenes en aparecer en la portada de Vogue USA y la primer modelo en la portada de Teen Vogue… Lo que suman 24 portadas, solo de Vogue. Y miles de editoriales.

After the era of the 90s supermodels, there were no stars in the modeling industry, but Gemma brought a new era, she strated a boom of famous high-fashion top models.

She began his career in 2002. With only 16 years, she became one of the youngest models to appear on the cover of Vogue USA and the first model on the cover of Teen Vogue … A total of 24 covers, only of Vogue. And thousands of editorials.

En 2006, el programa “60 minutes” (CBS), hizo un mini documental sobre ella, donde la llamaron una “it girl”:

Tuvo una carrera corta, pero una de las más exitosas de la industria del modelaje.

Todo esto la llevó a ocupar la posición #1 del ranking “Top 50 Models” que realiza Models.com . Y en 2006 estuvo en la lista de las 10 modelos mejor pagadas de Forbes, junto a Giselle Bundchen, Kate Moss, Daria Werbowy y otras.

En 2009 anunció su retiro del modelaje para dedicarse a la actuación, puedes verla en las películas: “The black balloon”, “The strangers”, “Pirates of the Caribbean” y próximamente “The Great Gatsby.

Hubo otros rumores sobre su retiro. Salía con Heath Ledger cuando él falleció, se dijo que había tenido una fuerte depresión. Y hubo fuertes rumores sobre problemas alimenticios. En una de sus últimas pasarelas, Chanel SS 08, tuvo varias críticas sobre su peso, aparecía con un bikini de mezclilla y un famoso editor dijo que  había ganado mucho peso.

There were other rumors about her retirement. She was dating Heath Ledger when he died, it was told  she had a severe depression.  And there were strong rumors about eating disorders. In one of her last catwalks, Chanel SS 08, had several critiques about her weight, where she appeared in a bikini and a famous publisher said she had gained a lot of weight.

Entienden porque me gusta taaaaaaaaaaanto?!! No puedo esperar a verla otra vez sobre las pasarelas o ver su famosa baby face en miles de campañas.

Understand why I love her sooooooooo much?!! I can’t wait to see her again on the catwalks or see her famous baby face in thousands of campaigns.
